800th time is a charm

So today I decided to join Weight Watchers online. I have never done it online, but I think that this will be good for my schedule. My sister is doing it as well so I am looking forward to the support and accountability. This weekend has been pretty quiet. Very restful and somewhat productive. My MIL is coming on thursday so I have been cleaning and getting ready for company ;) I am looking forward to her visit. I love my MIL. she is such a good friend. I really lucked out with her. I am looking forward to a good week!
With love,

Finally finished...almost

Barry and I moved into this house about 6 years ago. We have never had a working toilet in our master bathroom!! With it just being the two of us, we just made it work with one. Barry's work schedule doesn't make alot of time for home improvement projects. Well, I had finally had enough so we decided to redo the bathroom. We had someone come in and retile our garden tub and take out the linoleum and put in ceramic tile. I so proud of it. I finally was able to move in this weekend and it is so wonderful!! I am loving having a potty in there!! Here are a few pics. I still want to go to Kirkland's and get some pretties but for the most part, she's complete!

These next pics are from today. It was cold so me and the puppies were being so lazy. We laid in the recliner for a little bit with our Snuggie :) I thought j would peek at Macy cause she was snoring in my lap...and the static in her hair was so funny!

Hope that everyone had a good weekend!! I know I did...it was productive and still restful. Just sad we didn't get any snow :(

SUH-WANK-EEE!

Let's see if I can figure this out.  Fancy new signature.  UGH Love it!!

I might be onto something

I just downloaded the blog press app on my phone. This is only a test;) playing with pics. This pic is to prove I found my mojo today and put together this new filing system which is sure to make my life so much easier come Monday.

Let's try another one.

This is a book I want at Cracker Barrel. I love hymns.
I may be addicted now that I have access to pics that I take on my phone. Those if you who were sad to see me go may regret it!!

Tonight I am chillin with my man and tomorrow I am busting out the cleaning products and cleaning this house!! I am in my pjs already and don't see myself putting real clothes on any time soon. We are supposed to have an arctic blast come thru and I am not looking forward to it!!

Have a blessed weekend everyone!!

Here and there

Wow, four blog posts in a row....getting a little crazy!  I just decided I couldn't stop now!
Not much to post on the Newton homefront.  Barry's work schedule is a little crazy right now.  I had really high hopes for this week-being the first week of the New Year....but nothing has gone the way I thought it would/should.  I am hoping for a much better week next week.  Work has been slow.  I have a great boss though who chooses to take us shopping on 3 hour lunch breaks instead of making us sit there watching paint dry.  Which doesn't make sense, cause our walls are painted-but they are already dry.  Wow, Im tired.

The mojo I have been searching for this week hit me today-at 4:55 pm...right when it was time to go home. I pray I find it tomorrow-I need to get organized for the week ahead. I had hopes of hitting the ground running on Monday, and instead I hit the ground-like face first...and I feel like I have stayed there all week. Just waving others to go on by and pass me. This is yet another reason why I don't like resolutions. Sometimes life gets in the way of those pesky things.  How can I already feel like I need a break when we just got back from break?  Something isn't right here people!!

I just watched a friend's birth video on her blog.  It was beautiful and amazing and made me wish even more that I was pregnant.  I can't wait to meet miss Cerly Grace.  Tanna makes childbirth look like a day at the beach.  I would say " easy breezy" but then I want to type "covergirl" and make up has nothing to do with giving birth or going to the beach.  I am not really blog saavy so here is the link to her blog if you want to see how precious her family is.  She is blessed and so deserving of every ounce. http://tcpreciousmoments.blogspot.com/

I was trying to change out the wax in my plug in wall Scentsy last night and spilled red wax all in our bathroom sink.  It was not pretty.  I decided to let it dry and I would get a razor and clean it up this morning, until this morning got here and I remembered who I was and that I don't do anything other than make coffee and get myself out the door in the mornings.  Needless to say Barry came home this evening and was sure I had injured myself.  It was a lot of bright red wax!

Im rambling now.  Food wise-today I did so/so.  No breakfast :(  For lunch I had Olive Garden and just had salad.  But I did eat like THREE breadsticks.  Why do they have to bring them out when they are warm and soft and covered in whatever they put on them?!  I am weak!  So since I ate enough salad at lunch to choke a large rabbit-when I had dinner plans tonight, I decided to be "good" and not eat again.  So I ordered coffee and a mini dessert.  I am not kidding you that I paid $2 for a piece of cheesecake that was
2 inches x 2inches. NO lie.  It was a little longer than the width of my fork!  But- it was the perfect date for my coffee-they played nice with each other and I can't think that it was THAT bad-it was 2 bites worth!  if that!  Then my dinner date and I chatted it up into the evening until almost 9pm.  So by the time I got home I was hungry and had a headache so I ate some grilled chicken.  So see, not so bad.  I also did not have any soda today-whoo hoo!  IF I were to ever get brave and list the foods out that I ate yesterday, ya'll (all three of you) would be singing my praises and thinking I was a model diet citizen!

Ok, my sweet hubs and puppies are already in bed.  I had no doubt the babies are on my side under the electric blanket.  I need to go reclaim what is rightfully mine.

Enjoy your Friday people--it's gonna be a good one!

**insert fancy signature here.  I want to find one of those.  Perhaps I will do that tomorrow if my work mojo doesnt' show up**

So much for Day 1

I hate that I am an emotional eater.  I do it without even really realizing it.  Today was bad-I did some serious damage.  Tomorrow will be better.  I think I am going to go to bed early tonight.  It's been a long day.
If you read this, pray for Barry's dad.  He is progressing so quickly.

Here is my pic for today

Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it :)

Change

I don't handle change well.  I'll be honest.  But I do like new beginnings.  I think that is why the Spring semester is my favorite at work.  Not only is it a new semester, but a new year...fresh with no mistakes in it.  So I am attempting this weight loss thing--again.  I really just have to take things one day, one meal at a time.  So I will make note of what I DID do today, instead of harp myself on what I DIDN'T.
1. I did use fat free half and half in my coffee this morning.
2. I did eat a good breakfast that consisted of a fiber and a fruit.
3.  I had a healthy lunch.
4. I have not had any sodas today-only water!
5. I had a fruit for a snack this afternoon.
6.  I did at least pack my clothes to bring to the gym.
I didn't make it to the gym because I have managed to misplace my ID card for school.  I thought getting a new one would be no big deal, except they want to charge me $20 for a new one.  I don't think so!  I will go home tonight and look through some bags and cross my fingers I find it.  So, the good thing is that my bag is already backed for tomorrow.  If it weren't so blessed cold outside, I would walk outside, but it is COLD!

I don't like the word --resolution--For me personally, resolutions never last.  It's like setting myself up to fail right off the bat.  So I have decided just to set personal goals each day.  Work on the things each day that I struggle with (getting to bed at a decent time, taking care of myself, eating too much salt, craving sweets, fighting with myself to go work out, etc.)

Just for fun, here is a pic for today...

Sweetest crime fighting heros I have ever known.  I seriously adore this picture.

2011-Let's try this again

Me and Monica at my 30th Birthday in Southlake

Barry's mom visting his dad at the nursing home-April 2010
Grace Kay and Hailey wearing dresses that belonged to Jamie and Libby-I love their smiles.
Liam Thomas' first trip to the ocean!  Port Aransas June 2010
Lila Belle cracking herself up at her 2nd birthday party-she is a riot.  July 2010
A picture that was taken by a friend and then I edited.  A house very dear to my heart. First  time I had returned to see the house in ten years.  A storm was headed our way and the sky was so dark behind the house.  To the left was a huge rainbow.  I like to think it was a sign :)
Ashlyn Kate started kindergarden!  Time flies!  August 2010
Our family was blessed by this handsome guy in August.  Lucky #7!
